If you get a cloud hosting plan from us and if you take advantage of our mail services, you’ll be able to activate anti-spam protection for any of the mailboxes that you create from the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel. With just a few clicks of the mouse, you can choose between 5 separate levels of protection. In case you start getting spam, you can begin with the lowest one and then gradually raise the level till you stop receiving spam. We rely on one of the very best and most popular email filters available called SpamAssassin. It ‘scans’ the header and the body of each message that you receive and calculates a spam score, based on which it either deletes a given message or allows it to enter your mailbox. The Hepsia hosting Control Panel will also permit you to configure custom filters and either delete unasked-for emails or forward them to a third-party address such as spam@domain.com where you can view them once more later.
Spam Filters in Semi-dedicated Servers
In case you use one of our Linux semi-dedicated servers, you won’t have to worry about unsolicited bulk emails clogging your mailboxes every once in a while, as you can take advantage of the famous SpamAssassin filter that we offer with each and every semi-dedicated hosting account. Our in-house created Hepsia Control Panel will permit you to activate the filter for any mailbox with a couple of clicks of the mouse and you can pick any of the five levels of security – from very low to very high. The level can be altered at any time if, for example, legitimate messages get filtered, or if junk emails go through and appear in your Inbox folder. To be on the safe side, you can choose all filtered email messages to be re-sent to a special mailbox such as spam@your-domain.com and not to be deleted. In this way, you can go through them from time to time to ensure that you have not missed out on an authentic email message.
